AUTUMN TINTS CYCLING COMRADES

The aim of the club is to promote comradeship among cyclists over the age of fifty. The club provides cycling and social events for all members and there is an annual magazine that can be downloaded from their website.

CUMBERWORTH UNITED CRICKET CLUB

DENBY DALE TRAVELLERS

The club is for ages 16 years and upwards. Men and women runners of all abilities are welcome. The club participates in a wide range of road, fell and cross country events.

EAST PENNINE ORIENTEERING CLUB

The East Pennine Orienteering Club was formed in 1976 and held its first event at Storthes Hall, Huddersfield. It now covers Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield and has about 200 members. They belong to the Yorkshire and Humberside Orienteering Association and the British Orienteering Federation.

EMLEY CLARENCE CRICKET CLUB

Emley Clarence Cricket Club plays in the Drakes Huddersfield Cricket League. It provides both senior and junior teams.

FARNLEY TYAS BOWLING CLUB

Several bowling teams use the green at Farnley Tyas in eight to twelve groups of ladies, men or mixed leagues in Huddersfield and surrounding areas. The green is maintained each year by reseeding, hollow tinning and scarifying.

HOLME VALLEY WHEELERS CYCLING CLUB

The Wheelers are one of the most active cycling clubs in Yorkshire, with over 100 members. The age of the membership spans from 10 to 80 plus, with a healthy mix of men, women and juniors. Monthly club meetings are held on the second Monday of every month at The Old Bridge Hotel in Holmfirth.

Holmfirth Harriers is one of the largest athletics clubs in Yorkshire and provides facilities for all ages ranges from children to adults. The aim of the Huddersfield and District Section of the Cyclists’ Touring Club is to encourage local people to cycle and explore the countryside. They are not a racing club so come along if you prefer a relaxing cycle pace.

The Ramblers is Britain's walking charity, working to safeguard the footpaths, the countryside and other places where people go walking. They also aim to encourage more people to take up walking. With 125,000 members in England, Scotland and Wales, they’ve been working for walkers for 75 years.
